The KGH's highest honour, The Order of Merit is awarded to Past Grand Knight Commanders in recognition of the conspicuous service given to the Order during his term of office.
The OM was awarded by Grand Camp on 26th April 2025 to SKC Neville Dart PGKC for his service from 2023 to 2024 during which time he carried out some 34 or more official visits to Encampments around the country as well as dealing with the day-to-day running of the Order. Neville was also appointed Deputy Grand Scribe by the Grand Camp on the same day!
Additionally, Neville has taken on the duties of Webmaster for thekgh.org website and has repaired and manufactured regalia including the magnificent Chain Collar, dating back to before 1900, which is worn by the Grand Knight Commander. The Order of Merit which comprises of a 10-pointed Star and certificate, was presented at a meeting of Neville's "mother encampment", No. 24 Whitworth Enc. in Spennymoor on Thursday 24 July 2025 by AKC Ian Glasper OM IPGKC. Neville was introduced to the assembled comrades by the Grand Scribe of the KGH, AKC Clive Warham OM.
