"Jimmy Sticks" promoted to Knight of the KGH

A ceremony was held on Thursday 5 June 25 at the KGH Club Spennymoor, where Companion Jim Robinson, known as Jimmy Sticks, (he plays drums in the organ and drums duo on Thursday evening meetings) was promoted to Knight of the Order of the GUOKGH.  Jim was introduced to the presiding officer, SKC Fred Ryder, by AKC Dave Sams OM, a long standing entertainer who has accompanied many famous names. 

The ceremony was conducted in the presence of the new Grand Knight Commander of the Order, SSKC John Warham and his brother AKC Clive Warham OM Grand Scribe, with KoS Richard Simpson, Grand Director of Ceremonies, all three members of 147 Erimus Encampment in Middlesbrough.

Before concluding the evening, AKC Barrie Cooper OM, Scribe of 24 Whitworth Encampment, was presented with the Scribes Jewel in recognition of his work as scribe, or secretary, to the encampment.
